Match Report Lymm Vs Moss FarmWith no Drath Vader this week Lymm brought in the Godfather, Roger Longman to play. Rog was up first! Sporting outstanding colour coordinated kit Roger raced to a 2-0 lead. He played brilliantly. However his time in the 1st Team this season has been limited and he clearly wanted to milk it so at 2-2, Rog got a stern dressing down from Darren in HT mode. The Godfather responded winning the 5th game and taking the match 3-2. He is a legend! Gower Power was next up facing his kryptonite, Mandy! Matt played great squash but couldn't quite build on his 1-0 lead and ended up losing 3-1. He played well and gave everything. With the match tied Darren was next on court. He was clearly in the mood, probably playing his best squash of the season, he raced to a 2-0 lead. At 2-1 the questionable language crept in! Including a 'Sh*t’ when he had been sent the wrong way. Darren managed to regain control and won 3-1 to put Lymm 2-1 up. This left the David Lloyd Sauna Boys! The first sauna boy was Pete. He played great squash racing to. 2-0 lead before being pegged back to 2-1. He regained his composure and sealed the win and the match 3-1. He was ready to tag in his sauna buddy for the final match of the night. Sauna boy Rich was again in devastating David Lloyd form. Great shot making and great movement gave his opponent a real headache. That combined with the McCann makeover (coordinated clothing and racket) meant Rich looked as sharp as his game was. Racket bag next! 4-1 win and 18 points means it could not be tighter at the top of the league. Back to back championships is still on! ... See MoreSee Less

Match ReportLymm Vs MontonIcy cold conditions descended on to Lymm this evening as our visitors from deepest darkest Manchester visited Beechwood for the second time this season. With the animosity from the last meeting still fresh in everyone's head, Lymm were very keen to hand out a pasting! First on was Darren, who once again was playing a parent from his school. Determined not to lose face Darren raced away winning the first 15-4. Two tight games followed but a 3-0 win for Darren was the result.Next up was Matt. He played calm and confident squash. He raced to a two nil lead before being pegged back to 2-1. He saved game points in the fourth game before running out a 3-1 winner. Peter was next on court and he gave the Penguin (think Danny DeVito Batman) a good beating. 3-0 and very comfortable for the skipper. On the plus side his opponent had walked off court the last two times he has played Lymm so all things considered the penguin did well! Chris was chomping at the bit after last week and he raced out of the blocks playing with pace and determination. His opponent did his best to stay close to him but Chris had far too much for him and he too won 3-0.Richard was last on. He has made an appointment with Gok Wan this week so next week’s attire should be interesting. He too had too much for his opponent and ran out an easy 3-0 winner.5-0 win, 20 points and an excellent curry. All good! Moss Farm next week. ... See MoreSee Less

Match Report Bowdon Vs LymmWe have been inundated by our one fan who has been complaining about the lack of match reports lately so I am delighted to announce they are back! Lymm travelled to neighbours Bowdon tonight. Both teams are in line for promotion and both still could win the league.First on court was Matt. Playing some fantastic squash and showing a wonderful fighting spirit, Matt came back from 2-1 down to win 3-2. This gave Lymm the great start they needed. Peter was on next taking on a very experienced and tricky opponent. Pete clearly wanted to get his money's worth teasing his opponent before finally winning 3-2. A great match.Next up was Darren returning after a spell on the sidelines. Returning from injury the last think he wanted was to play a young, fit and quick player. Let alone having a first game that went to 20-18! Darren eventually started hitting his winners and ran out a 3-0 winner. This also sealed the match for Lymm.Richard then took to court and was far too much for his opponent sending him left and right. He would either win 7 points in a row or lose 7 in a row. Richard won 3-0 to give Lymm a 4-0 lead! Finally beautiful Chris took to court looking sensational. He destroyed his opponent in the first game but unfortunately ended up going down 3-2. He will be back stronger next week!4-1 win for Lymm. League title is within touching distance! Monton up next! ... See MoreSee Less
